Going Surf Fishing Tomorrow.

Tomrrow i'll be going surf fishing with my buddy Larry and we are going just for the fun of it. I know most of you think I only like to be out in the blue water fishing far off shore, but I do enjoy all types of fishing. I like surf fishing beacause it's something you can do year around and it doesn't have to cost you a lot of money to do. Tomorrow i'll be fishing with light line, usually I surf fish with 6 pound test line, but tomorrow i plan to use only only use four pound test line, I'm hoping to target surf perch, but if I hook up with something larger that's fine too. I like light line for surf fishing because you usually hook more fish, but if you hook a legal size halibut, you really have little or no chance of landing it. I hope to post some pictures tomorrow of how we did on my Face Book fan page tomorrow.

That is cool to hear. Would you do a show on surf fishing? Or have you done a show on surf fishing?

Yes we have done a bunch of them over the years, we still have one to edit from last year. If you go to my You Tube Channel you can see some of surf fishing videos I have uploaded there.

That's awesome! I've recently tried surf fishing out of Seal Beach. I didn't have much luck. Can you recommend a beach and best time. I used a medium action spinning reel w/10lb test and Gulp sandworms. #6 circle hooks.

Manny, I suggest Huntington Beach or Bolsa Chica, both are in your area. use lighter lines, 4-6 and use bait holder hooks too. Gook luck. If you still are having problems, then order my how-to surf perch dvd or you can rent it at You Tube.
