Dan Hernandez Youth Foundation Kids Fishing Trip

Today my foundation took 80 kids out fishing. for all of them it was their first time ever on the ocean and for most the first time they have ever been fishing. All of the kids were great!

US MArines Fishing Trip

Yesterday we took out 25 US Marines from SDMD. For most of the guys it was their first ever fishing trip. This show will air the week before Christmas. I'd like to thank skipper Chris Randal of the Indian for donating his boat & crew for this trip. THe fish and the weather was great. most of the guys limited out on barracuda.

Today we had our youth foundation fishing trip with the LA Dodgers! the weather was perfect and the fishing was good too. we landed lots of sand dabs and sculpin. Dodger pitcher Leach was great with all the kids and enjoyed his day on the water aboard the Sea Angler. Thanks to the LA Dodgers and 22nd Street Landing for helping us put this trip together.

Lincoln Parks Kids Fishing Event

Our free kids fishing event last Saturday was a huge hit. Over 500 kids, plus their parents showed up for the event at Lincoln Park in ELA. The kids caught lots of fish and everyone had a great time. Thanks to all you who helped host this great event and to those of you who brought your kids to this event.

Gail Force Trip

Today we fished aboard the Gail Force, Our skipper Ryan took us to Catalina Island, fishing was good for calico bass and we landed a few bonita too. We have two more filming trips this month. check out our full list of charters on our website.

EAST CAPE TRIP

This week we had our annual east cape trip, fishing was a little slow offshore, but the roosterfishing was great! Everyone had great time. Next year we'll be making this trip at the end of May.

Getting ready for the East Cape, Mexico

Tomorrow I have to get everything ready for my East Cape trip on Thursday. We'll be staying at Hotel Buena Vista in the East Cape, all the reports sound great, lots for marlin and dorado, plus large schools of roosterfish too. I'll get all the camera gear together and Larry will pack all my fishing tackle. I'll try to send you reports from Mexico.

Trout Fishing Trip

Just got back from three days of fishing up in the Bishop CA area. Fishing the first day was a little slow, but the next two days were awesome. The float trip down the Owens River is something everyone should try, I caught all of my fish on the river on Gulp eggs and PowerBait worms. The best color was white, I'm not sure why, but white eggs with a white worm was by far the best bait to use. The Gulp and Power Bait out fished everyone in our group. I can't wait to get back up there.

Today Larry, Greg and I worked on my boat. We replaced the whole steering system with and new hydraulic system made by Sea Star. I can't believe what a difference it has made to my boat. We filmed the whole install for television and we plan to post them it up on You Tube too.
