Emeryville- HuckFinn

Last month we traveled north up to the SF Bay area. We fished on the New Huck Finn out of Emeryville with Captain Jay. After getting a tank of live bait in San Francisco we headed out under the Golden Gate Bridge north to Point Reyes in beautiful calm waters for some rockfish and lingcod fishing. Fishing in 90 to 180 feet of water it was limit style fishing . The lingcod were from legal length to over 30lbs. with many over the 20lb. We also caught big blue rockfish, black rockfish red snappers and johnny bass. This was fun fishing with light tackle 2olb to 30lb. test gear and everyone kept their camera's clicking with the scenic landscapes of San Francisco. Everyone in our group landed limits of both rock fish and ling cod. The fishing up north has also been great for Albacore, even though we didn't target them on this trip, but Capt. Jay told me that this year they'll catch more tuna up there than salmon. If you have never tried fishing out of here I strongly suggest you try it. I've been up here a fe time know I i've had great trips on all of them and I can't wait to get back.
