Surf Fishing

Last Sunday Larry and I fished in a surf fishing event for a fishing club we belong to. We started out fishing up by Ventura but the water was dirty so we worked our way south. The fishing was slow but at Zuma beach we found nice clear water and II was able to land four perch using Gulp for bait. I ended up winning the event. It wasn't a huge fish, but large enough to win on this day. For those of you who want to go fishing and not spend a lot of money, you should try surf fishing it's a lot of fun!

Kick-Off Party End Review

Day at the Docks

Today was Day At The Docks. It was a great event and the weather was perfect too. I just wanted to thank everyone who came by our booth nd said hello. I means a lot to me to hear how much you all enjoy my fishing program and my youth foundation.

Del Mar Fred Hall Show

I just wanted to thank you all you who came by our booth and said hello. Today is the last day of the show so please stop by and say hi to everyone, even my parents will be helping out again today. i also want to thanks Randy Jones from the Padres for helping us out yesterday. It seemed like everyone in SD knew him. He was a great guy and i'm glad to tell you all that now the Dodgers and the Padres are supporting my youth foundation.

Fred Hall Show - Del Mar

It's that time again. Tomorrow we start setting up for this weeks show. I wanted you all to know that this saturday at the show, former Padre pitcher Randy Johnson will be in our booth during the show from 12:00 noon till 1:00 PM. Randy will be there to support our youth foundation. make sure to stop by our booth and say hi to Randy.

Kick- Off Party!

Make plans to join us on April 25th for a great night of food and fishing seminars! Mike Gardner will be talking about inshore fishing and Long Range skipper Andy Cates will be talking tuna and offshore fishing. Tickets are $25.00 and all the money goes to the Dan Hernandez Youth Foundation to take kids fishing.

Late Season Lobster Fishing

I'm one of those guys who has never had much luck at lobster fishing, that was until I went out one night with Ben Hong of Promar. Ben took me out the first week of March to a spot he likes in the Santa Monica Bay. We were only out for about two hours, but we landed over 12 lobsters and seven of them were legal, plus a bunch of crabs. The only problem we had that night were the seals. The seals took our baits several times out of our nets. Other than that it was a perfect trip. Make sure you watch this show, it'll be a good one.
