Freelance Fish report
yesterday's fishing trip went very well aboard the Freelance, we fished at Catalina Island and landed bonita, calico bass and barries. our next fishing charter will be on Monday Aug. 2nd aboard the Indian out of San Diego for tuna. we still have room if you'd like to join us.

Ensenada fishing trip report
We just returned from our fishing trip out of Ensenada, Mexico. We fished abroad the Azecta II. It's a very nice boat. We did land a few monster sizes barries, but most of the fish we got were rock fish. everyone caught a lot of nice size sculpin too. visit our website to see all the trips we have left for this year.

tuna fishing
I've been hearing that a lot the larger bluefin tuna are being hooked deep on jigs. If this something you have never done before let me explain it to you. What you need is either a MM2 8oz or 10oz metal jig in chrome. All you do is toss it out and let it drop to about 150 feet and then wind it in as fast as you can about half way up. if you don't get bit, then put your reel in free spool and let your jig drop back down and then wind it up again very fast. This is a great way to hook up with a bluefin tuna. You can find Magic Metal jigs at Turner's Outdoorsman, Cabelas.com and on my website.

ICAST Show
Last week i was out of town at the ICAST show and I saw a bunch or new things that i'll be sharing with you here, This week is all about getting ready for our trip to Mexico over the weekend. we'll be filming out of Ensenada on Sunday and surf fishing on our drive home on Monday, it should be a great time. Trips like this are harder to pack for because you need to bring both types of fishing tackle, but I know it'll be a great time!
